Polygon Labs said on October 14, 2026 that it has completed its acquisition of Coinme, bringing regulated U.S. money movement into its Polygon Open Money Stack (OMS) payments platform.
Through the acquired U.S. payments business, Polygon says it now has coverage across 48 states, with 37 state money transmitter licences and 11 applicable exemptions. The business is also registered with FinCEN as a money services business. Polygon did not disclose financial terms in the announcement.
First customers
Polygon named four companies among the first to adopt OMS:
- Tazapay, a cross-border payments provider, uses OMS on- and off-ramp and wallet infrastructure to move between stablecoins and local currency.
- Mesh is adding OMS on-ramps to its crypto payments network of more than 300 wallets, exchanges and financial services.
- Toku, a payroll and employer-of-record platform, uses OMS wallet and payout capabilities so workers paid in stablecoins can convert to local currency.
- Kira uses OMS to expand the stablecoin options available to its U.S. banking clients.
Why it matters
The deal gives Polygon licensed fiat entry and exit points in the U.S., the part of a stablecoin payment that typically sits with a separate regulated partner. Polygon says OMS is live today.
